The sauna is much more than just a place to sweat. It is a sacred space of relaxation and renewal, an oasis for body, mind and soul. A perfect sauna session is significant to get the most out of your sauna experience.
Textile-free area
The sauna is a textile-free area. Please wear a towel or bathrobe. On the sun deck e offer you a spacious, sheltered and sunny naturist area.
Hygiene is important
Wear bathing shoes to prevent infections and to maintain hygiene.
Right timing
Do not go to the sauna when hungry or with a full stomach.
After sports
Avoid going to the sauna right after sports. Wait for your pulse to return to normal.
Preparation and shower
Before entering the sauna, find a moment of peace. Turn off your phone and leave the stress of everyday life behind. A clear, focused mindset is the key to a successful sauna session.
Take a refreshing shower to prepare your body for the sauna. Cleaning the skin helps to remove dirt and excess oil, which optimises the sauna effect. Dry well after showering – dry skin can sweat better.
Sauna session and sweating
Enter the sauna slowly and sit or lie down. Take a deep breath and start to feel the cosy warmth that relaxes your muscles and calms your mind.
Let your body sweat, this is the natural cleaning process. Make sure you feel well and stay as long as you feel comfortable. If it gets too hot, you can leave the sauna and cool off.
Cooling, rest and repetition
After sweating, it is important to cool your body down. A cold shower improves the circulation and has a vitalising effect. Grant yourself a relaxing break after your sauna session in our relaxation areas and let your body come to rest. This is the moment when recovery takes full effect.
Repeat the sauna session if needed. Repeating this cycle enhances the positive effects on your health and your well-being.
Sauna culture is a centuries-old tradition which serves relaxation and health. Grant yourself your time-out and experience the benefits of the sauna in our Felsentherme.
